AN IRISH employer has been ordered to pay a woman who suffers from a serious bowel disorder nearly £60,000 in compensation for discrimination and told to give her an office of her own near toilet facilities.
The BBC reports the woman, a medical secretary, took her case to the Employment Equality Tribunal because she had been forced to take sick leave after she was moved to an office shared with three other people.
It said she “suffers acute stomach attacks which cause embarrassment in a shared environment.”
