THE lawyer of Pc Carol Howard, the Metropolitan Police office who has won her discrimination claim against the force, has called for a complete re-write of the Met’s equality procedures and an independent investigation into existing measures for dealing with discrimination complaints.
Kiran Daurka said: “My client was subjected to discriminatory treatment because she is black and because she is a woman.
“This case shows that there needs to be a complete re-write of the Metropolitan Police’s equality procedures and an independent investigation into existing measures purporting to deal with discrimination complaints.”
